FIVE SUMMER STORIES
FIVE SUMMER STORIES
Music by Heech Hois and others. The film was released in theaters throughout the USA, Hawaii, Australia and Japan, breaking records for audience numbers. The artwork is by Ricky Cliffin, an artist known for his rock art, "Fillmore." Heech culture, which originated from the anti-war movement in Vietnam, shifted to a new age of nature and spiritualism in the 1970s. The anti-war movement and the dramatic changes in America led to the shortening of surfboards from 9 feet to 6 feet. The world ecology of the ocean is what evolves surfing. The film tells us how surfing can lead us to a pure world by escaping the drastic changes in the world. The film was shot in Hawaii, at Hi-Flying, Sunset Heech, and Honoluahei, California, and the surfers who appear are Shelley Roges, Chef Hackman, Tehit Nuhiwa, Terry Fitzheralt, Reno Aherila, Hill Hamilton and others. The coolest era of surfing, the culture, and the timeless message that still feels fresh today.
