Danny Hess is a wooden surfboard builder based at WOODSHOP in San Francisco. His particular choice of materials and manufacturing methods have influenced many surfers and shapers. He can also be said to be the pioneer who spread hand planes to the world. He spread the new possibilities of riding waves freely with hand planes that he designed himself.
