RIP CURL SEARCHGPS uses auto-set satellite positioning to instantly display time and tide information for 1360 surf breaks around the world (76 in Japan).
What's great about the Rip Curl Search GPS watch is that it can display the number of waves a surfer has ridden, their top speed, and the distance traveled in real time on the watch face.
Once you're out of the water, you can sync your watch via Bluetooth with your iOS device or desktop app (Mac + PC) to visualize the GPS data collected by your watch.
You can also relive all your surfing sessions and share them with your friends.
It also acts as a LOGBOOK, allowing you to record all your surfing from the moment you paddled out, including location, conditions, wave count, ride length and top speed.
It's also a great way to follow each other and check how many waves you all caught, who rode the longest, who was the fastest, and so on during sessions with friends.
By following you can see who's surfing the most, who's surfing the best spots, and by following pro surfers you can see what your favorite pro surfers are doing in real time.
You can also create a club with your friends to make sure you don't miss any daily sessions and plan your surf trips. All your surfing is securely stored in the Search Cloud, so you can access it anytime from the iPhone app or the web version.
