It was founded in 1976 in Newport Beach , Southern California by John Bernard, a renowned surf brand designer .

In the 1980s, the company became the title sponsor of the Pipeline Masters on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

We continue to promote California style, which is based on simplicity and basics and mixes in trends .
