Filmed in New Zealand, Children of the Sun is a full-scale road movie shot on 16mm film. Its underwater shots are still fascinating to this day.
Although it was never released in Japan, it is a masterpiece among masterpieces and had a major influence on subsequent surfing movies. The story is about a journey in search of waves, which is the origin of the road movie.
The group traveled all over New Zealand, hitting some classic waves at places like Raglan, then the end of the world.
He also travels to Australia to session the point breaks on the east coast, enjoying the nostalgia of the good old days and classic style surfing that never changes.
