Star Fish 5'9"
Star Fish 5'9"
Starfish is shaped by Hank Warner, a legendary San Diego shaper who belongs to G&S.
The most distinctive feature of this fish is the protruding wing set near the tail.
When you tilt the board during a turn and put the rail into the face of the wave, this wing initiates the turn.
This also only works because the board has a Vee bottom.
Legendary San Diego shaper Hank Warner has used his own ideas to create a Starfish outline and bottom design that is different from typical San Diego fish.
In fact, the turns are sharper and deeper and more angled than with a regular fishboard.
Starfish is a unique and highly functional fish board that also accommodates vertical movements.
