Flex Tail Hull Stubbie Quad 7'8"
Flex Tail Hull Stubbie Quad 7'8"
Nowadays, flex tail boards are used by many shapers.
In fact, Tim Bowler has been designing surfboards with a similar structure since the 1970s.
After much research, he came up with a tail area made of 14 layers of fiberglass.
Tim Bowler recently developed a 14-ply laminated tail that combines 4oz and 6oz cloth to increase flex more than the 8-ply laminated tails that many shapers are using.
And as I have experienced myself, the reality is that flex tail surfboards have no foam at the tail end, which causes the tail to lose buoyancy and often throws off the front-to-back balance of the surfboard.
Tim Bowler has completely improved this by making the board thicker than usual near the tail and adjusting the front-to-rear balance with careful attention to detail.
It's all thanks to Tim Bowler, a true surfer, who shapes the boards himself and tests them out over and over again that he has been able to make new discoveries.
Our shop has been selling flex fin twin hulls for some time and has received a lot of positive feedback, but by changing the tail from a twin to a more arced flex, you will feel lighter movement and more extended turns.
The rails and bottom are completely Hull stubby shaped.
Combine this with flex fins for a new riding experience.
Lime green tint sanded finish.
Special fins are included.
