SKIP FRYE/7'0" PINTAIL

This is a Pintail Model that appears to have been shaped in the late 70s.

I've ridden this board a few times and it has great performance in larger waves.

The Skip Fly's unique down rail and the slightly rolled bottom near the nose allow it to grip the waves firmly, even in deep sections, giving you the control you want.

As for the condition of the board, there were marks all over it from being hit, which shows the enthusiasm of the surfer at the time who was taking on big waves without a leash.

San Diego has many reef points, and even today many surfers go there to tackle big waves without a leash.

A San Diego surfer doesn't care if his board drifts away and hits the reef.

This board has not been overhauled so it is not an overly heavy vintage board.  

This is a wonderful vintage board that has been kept in its original condition.

All parts have been repaired, so you can ride it as is.

I think it's a wonderful piece that gives you a sense of dignity and history.
