Mel is the grandson of Larry Gordon, founder of Gordon & Smith. Raised in a thoroughbred environment in San Diego, the birthplace of classic style surf culture, she has risen to become a charismatic surfer with an overwhelming influence not only in her native California, but also around the world.
Her contracts with big companies such as UGG Boots and AXXE Classic speak to her talent.
Last year, they signed a deal with Gordon & Smith, their family business, and released their new line, "Katwalk."
This is a special model that Mel completed after extensive discussions with Chris Darby and numerous refinements.
