This movement, which began in Australia, quickly spread to California, and the surfboards of many brands rapidly became shorter.
Amidst this trend, CON Surfboards caused a sensation by releasing the Iron Butterfly, a short-range model unlike anything seen before. The Iron Butterfly quickly spread across the world and became a classic.

Steve Brom worked as a shaper for CON Surfboards in the 1980s and shaped countless Iron Butterfly boards during that time.

And now, this classic, the Iron Butterfly, has been completely reissued by Steve Brom himself. (The only difference from the original is that the "CON" in the logo has been changed to "BROM.")

With the logo also reissued, the Iron Butterfly is now exactly the same as its late 60s counterpart.
Every detail of the board's design has been faithfully reproduced, resulting in a board that can be considered a collector's item.

It makes a wonderful artistic statement when displayed in a room, and it's also a fantastic board for surfers to fully immerse themselves in the spirit of the era at the beach.
